Introducing Jeremy

Thanksgiving Day is coming to an end here in Nanning (we had leftover pizza from Pizza Hut), but I wanted to get the pictures up from yesterday when we received Junjun. Clicking on the image should bring up larger version in a new window. Additional images from "Gotcha Day" can be viewed on our Club Photo album. Angela claims she will post with all the details later. Currently her and Junjun are asleep after a busy day of signing all the paperwork that makes his adoption official.

Our internet connection is slow and buggy in Nanning so I am keeping this short. We appreciate all the replies, most especially those about Eli who is very much missed by both of us. He will enjoy his new little brother who has an equal energy level. Currently Junjun ("j" as in John; Jun rhymes with run) prefers Daddy, but between Mommy's child rearing abilities and Daddy's lack of patience for wailing (Junjun) and gnashing of teeth (Daddy), Junjun is sure to take to Mommy any day now. Your prayers for patience and understanding are appreciated. We look forward to formal introductions in just over a week. Enjoy the turkey!

  2. Joannie here,
Junjun (Jeremy? which should we be using?) looks sooo cute!!!! Like Donna said, I look so forward to reading new posts from you. Eli is off with your mom as you read in her comment yesterday, and he is being quite missed around here! Coleman's been in Star Wars heaven having a built in light saber sparring partner! Sorry about my comment about Eli not missing you in my last post. I realized after the fact that it sounded kind of harsh. I just wanted to let you know you had done the right thing in leaving him here and that he was not weeping and pining for you all the time you had been gone. I know he will be very relieved to have you home and be back to his normal routine (plus little bro!). In the meantime, enjoy yourselves and don't fret about Eli. He's doing great!

  3. We can't wait until you all come home and have the two Smith boys (has a good ring to it) running around. We have been praying for smooth sailing on the adoption process. May God bless all of you (especially Eric since his gnashing of teeth could lead to future dental issues ;)

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Hi Guys, We loved all the pictures. He looks like he is adjusting well. We tried to leave a message for Scott and Mary also, but their Blog is locked. Give the babies a big kiss for us. We can't wait for all of you guys to come home. The kids are all so excited. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lots of Love. In Christ, The Pressley's.

  6. Pizza sounds great. Tired of Turkey already. Happy belated Thanksgiving! I was not online yesterday. Pictures are so great! Jeremy looks like he fits right in with you guys and I see no tears. Glad things are going well. I am sure Jeremy will be playing with Angela's hair soon. Well, once Eli shows him how it is done. Love, Amanda

  7. Congratulations! He's SO beautiful! I'm all teary out of joy for you guys! JunJun looked pretty comfy all snuggled up with Mom! And he looks so content in Dad's arms GOD BLESS! Thank you so much for allowing all of us to see this amazing journey of yours! I see you found WalMart! I have one question, were the turtles being sold as pets...or appetizers? I have a feeling it's the later. Did Pizza Hut offer any exotic toppings? You guys are just beaming in all your pictures with JunJun, just like Angela when she catches Eli's eyes across the room at Credo class. (There goes the tears again.) We are looking forward to more posts. Eric, your writing (and wit) is truly impressive (and entertaining)! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, I'm really looking forward to it. Did you guys decide to get the blessing from the Buddhist monk? I think that would be REALLY special! A blessing for his journey from one culture to another.

    You are in our prayers,
    ~ JoAnna Bennetti & Family
